which would you rather have?

I'm still pretty stoked about my recent big pick-up:

1. I think the TTT White Whales are kind of stupid, basically a way to force print plates to matter, 2. this is the same card I bought, just without color, and 3. the winner paid $0.49 more DLVD than I did and this one has a chip in it

I just like it when you make a big purchase and then something comes along to make you feel even better about it.

I'd rather have yours. I'm actually think on moving my 2 Kell White Whale plates from last year since I know I'll never find the other ones. Use the money from those to get something nicer.

I'm glad the white whales exist. Great to pull for sale value, plus they're all not bad looking-

This one got pulled here a year or two ago, it went for over $500 on the bay

i like some of the triple threads (without autos)
I don't like stickers and i don't like plates even worse, so a plate with a sticker is the worst thing out there...i would rather have base common.
I may be a minority, but that is my opinion, and I am sticking to it '

I do like your colored yount MUCH better than the plate for whatever that is worth...and for the ripken, nice patches...

I don't think the plates in that set mean all that much, mostly because there were so few of the actual cards produced and nobody really knows what they look like because so few were produced and because everyone looks at the autos and swatches anyway :lol:

But the plates are a neat idea anyway, I hope to add one to my 1/1 collection some day.

The White Whale plate autos are definitely less attractive than the platinum 1/1's. I've been working on the 08 triple threads vet/HOF auto/relic set, and have been offered deals on the white whale plate autos, but I just don't like the look of them at all.

Nice card....I wish they would use "prime" material, not a plain jersey on a 1/1 card.
