Not even to Boston ??? In your opinion, what would it take for the Red Sox or Dodgers to get him. And, I believe the Marlins could dangle Dee Gordon back to the Dodgers, with Fernandez, if push comes to shove. Only, though, if contract talks were to completely break down w/Gordon.
Loria is setting the bar to unreasonable proportions, from what I've read. It would take at least a three team trade, IMO.

WHAT?! Ugh. I don't know how they can expect to keep up a fan base when they keep turning over their talent. I understand budgets and such, but sheesh ... how can a fan ever expect to be able to comfortably anchor himself to a player if he just might end up going to the enemy mid-season?

Boston would have to give up Moncada, Owen, Swihart, Benintendi, and Devers, which they absolutely will not do. Same for the Dodgers, where Miami wanted Uria, Seager, Pederson, and a couple other spects. Miami is being totally ludicrous with their demands because they are in no hurry to trade him, unless given a godfather offer, so they ask for the moon and if a team agrees, then they will deal him, but no well managed team will ever give that much for him.
Are they actively shopping him or just dangling him out there to see if anyone would bite? Sure, if someone would package up some number of other top prospects for him, it would go a long way toward rebuilding. Since they unloaded every veteran except Stanton a couple years ago, it seems like Fernandez is just the type of player they'd keep until FA while they rebuild, or whatever they're doing.
