1 year deal for $500K and up to $1 million in incentives. The White Sox did not specify whether he will start or sit on the bench but they did indicate that they wanted to improve their bench

its win/win for them.. they buy in cheap and if he produces they either enjoy the production or use him as tradebait before the deadline. if he doesn't produce they aren't into him for much at all so no big loss.
