Brandt Wilhelm, 36, father of 3 (2 boys, 1 girl) along with 2 dogs and 1 cat. Married 11 years. Better half is RN. I am the Director of Operations for the city of Mobile, AL's Convention Center. Graduated with BS in Management from U. of South Alabama. We enjoy our free time relaxing at the beach.

I mainly collect A-Rod (focusing on 1993-99), vintage Clemente, and just certain cards that catch my eye. For example, among others was a Joe D cut auto (it looked so good I had to get it). It's hard to explain but I just have certain cards in my head that I simply want. I am just looking for particular high end cards. Not just any Ted Williams auto will do. I am looking for a certain "one".
I know what you mean its like I have a list of players i want autos of then a card pops up I just have to have lol weird I know.

About me: Well, I don't really collect anymore. Kinda stopped after middle school, but I've continued to read these boards (and the BMB) over the years. Used to live in San Diego,CA, now in Cleveland,OH. Now a Junior in HS, and plan on going to college either in CA or staying here in OH. Don't play baseball for my schools team because I'm not good enough. ;) Still play rec ball though and love the game. And now I'm off to school. I look forward to reading this when I get back.

Collecting goals: My interest and collecting goals have been diminished over the last few years. I was once a hard core collector of Graded vintage and RC's, having a coupple hundred slabs, but have since sold off. I am now just focused on my Gooden collection and piecing together the vintage run(s) of Carew and Brock. I do not spend much money anymore in the hobby because I rather just save it now, yet I still spend ~$100 a week or so just busting packs here and there. I'm at the point where I can never buy a single pack again and be happy, or spend $500 tomorrow on a few boxs...

About me: After the NAVY(parachutte rigger) I went to ITT Tech as an electronics engineer(AS). Shortly after that I helped run a family business (painting). Now I am a manager of a distribution center for Akzo Nobel, the worlds largest coatings manufacturer in the world by 2 fold. I am engaged to be married in May and my other interests are collecting vintage LP's of classic rock, gaming(PS3, 360, Wii or PC) and dabble a bit as a prospector. I like to read, watch a good movie or cook a good meal.

What I collect: I like to mainly prospect low end prospects with the intention of a high reward. I have had a lot of luck in the past with only a few failures; Eddie Degerman was my huge failure. I have learned my lesson and since done a lot of research before collecting big into a player. Toning down a bit now and going to sit on what I have and see what happens in the next few years.

About me: I graduated nearly two years with an Associate's Degree and obtained a great job at a hospital. First started out at the help desk making far more than I could imagine and then was promoted within 9 months to an even better job as an Analyst in Radiology. Big fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners. Even bigger fan of Ichiro even though I never laid down any cold hard cash for his autographs. Too rich for my blood. And now I am going to be late for work if I don't get my butt moving...

I was an avid prospector from 2004-2008 until numerous medical bills (2 surgeries, 5 trips to the emergency rooms with MRIs) from 2007 forced me to liquidate a majority of my inventory. I have submitted thousands of cards to PSA and BGS over the years and consider myself an authority on grading cards, particularly Bowman Chrome cards. I collect very little which surprises many people, but my collection consists of a very nice 1975 Topps set, George Brett Topps (and OPC) cards, and old Pirates players (especially those from the 1960 World Champions). I also collect cards from the 80s which were hot back then (Gregg Jefferies, Dwight Gooden, Ron Kittle, etc.) because they remind me of my father who passed in 1994, and was my collecting buddy. I am also attempting three sets: 2004 Cracker Jack Mini Blue parallels, 1987 Donruss PSA slabs, and 2006 TriStar prospects patches /25 (and patch autos /5). I also have 2 complete uniforms (one Home, one Away) of Cameron Maybin from his first professional season for the West Michigan Whitecaps.

I live in the northeast Atlanta suburb of Lawrenceville, Georgia, where I manage the production of about 200 pieces of leather furniture a week. I graduated from James Madison University in 1994 with a degree in Physics and Math. I have been married for almost 8 years, and have two daughters (turning 6 and 5 in the next few weeks) and a son due here in June. I am living proof that a geeky nerd can fool a pretty girl into marrying you. Here are the four of us from last year:

What I collect:
-Mainly I collect all St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, and other players in MLB that I like. I don't collect any other sport other than Major League Baseball. I have player collections of Aaron Boone, Adam Wainwright, Rick Ankiel, Yadier Molina, Joe Mather, Dan Haren, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, and Roger Clemens. I mainly only collect game used and autographed cards. Don't have much interest in base or inserts. Haven't really bought much recently.

About me:
I was born in Indianapolis Indiana. Moved to Illinois when I was around 4 years old. My Mother died at the age of 36 in 1993 when I was 10 years old of a massive heart attack. Moved in with foster parents when I was 13. Lived there until I was 20 when I left home and moved out of town and have never went back. I have 2 older brothers who I haven't talked to since I was in Junior High. Have an older sister who lives in Indianapolis who I talk to every other month or so. Don't know who my birth father is, and haven't spoken with my step dad since moving out of his house when I was 13. Have a couple cousins I talk to, but I have chosen to not have much to do with any of my family really. I don't care for any of them at all. Played football and ran track when I was in Junior High and High School, but don't want to talk too much about that or else people around here will whine. People seem not to like me too much. Never have. I have always came across as arrogant and an ass. And I am fine with that. If you don't like me, that's okay, because I don't care, it's your problem. These days I live in Benton Illinois and am very happy. I have a wonderful girlfriend, and we are very happy.

What I collect: Andruw Jones, Jarrod Saltalamacchia and HOF auto's.

About me: I recently graduated from Umass dartmouth with a BS in Management Information Systems. I'm currently working at a bakery and will be moving into a supervisor position this summer. Next fall I will be going back to school to get a masters in Operation Management or, if the company pays, I'll attend the American institute of baking to become a certified master baker. I also just bought my first house (close in a month or so) and will be getting married shortly after.
