The Tigers seem unstoppable. With a Healthy Tigers batting order and a healthy Tigers pitching staff they seem unstoppable. Who can take them in a series in your opinion.

Any team that plays better in the given series
Yup, that's the reality of baseball. A healthy Tiger team could win 2/3 of their games in the regular season and still lose a Playoff series to a team that is far inferior.

Still gotta love Miggy and Fielder back to back.

The Angels, because their starting pitching is so much better and deeper.

I'd rate the Angels as a better overall team. Their lineup is close to a push vs Detroit's & the Angel pitching rotation is much better IMO.

I love the responses of those who just want to be contrary. We don't have any devils advocates do we?

Yes of course, anything can happen with any team in any series. Sometimes guys get hot and others get cold. Nothing is a sure thing (except Kentucky in NCAABB this year). Yes it's still early and anything can happen as the season progresses. However, on paper, I agree with the OP, Detroit looks pretty dominant this year, and unless something strange happens during the course of the season or in the playoffs, they've got to be one of the favorites. The Angels look pretty strong on paper as well.

If Fister is healthy and Porcello pitches like he did today, I'm not so sure the rotations are THAT far apart, although at least early on paper the edge has to go to LAA.

As for the offense, I don't think there's any way I consider it a push. Looking at both lineups, the Tigers have six guys who very well could hit 20 homers this year. I don't think there's any way the Angels end up with more than four such players. Time will tell, but I'd be willing to bet the Tigers will outscore the Angels this year by at least 100 runs.

Six is a stretch IMO. You'll be lucky to have three. If you are banking on Boesch, Avila, Jackson, Rayburn, or Peralta, I don't see two of those 5 hitting 20 HR. Wouldn't surprise me if any of them got there.

Pujols, Morales, Hunter, Wells, Trumbo...all will hit more than 20 with playing time (Wells may fall out if Trout replaces him). Kendrick has a great shot at 20 hitting in front of Pujols, and with Iannetta starting full time he should get near that mark as well. Minimum four, outside shot at seven.

Fielder and Cabrera are virtually locks as long as they are healthy. I think Boesch will be there this year. I think Avila, Peralta, and call me crazy but Delmon Young will all be pretty close. Jackson has no chance IMO and I don't even consider Raburn a starter. He's kind of like the AAAA-talent who happens to be the coach's son so he gets to play.
