with the regular season winding down I wanted to see what everyone's opinion on who you think will win the Hart Trophy as the NHL MVP? vote for your choice then feel free to tell us who you voted for and why you voted for him.
I voted for Ryan Miller because I don't think the Sabres would be in first place in their division and third overall in the Eastern Conference without his outstanding play this season. the Sabres have a solid defense but when Miller is not in goal this season the Sabres have definitely struggled. Patrick Lalime is 4-6-2 in 14 games played. Miller is 37-16-8 with a 2.21 GAA. I realize it's difficult for a goalie to win the Hart but I believe Miller deserves it along with the Vezina Trophy.
although I know he will not be I believe Bryzgalov should be a close second to Miller. the Coyotes have a strong offense and an even stronger defense but without Bryzgalov I don't think they would be as high in the standings as they are just like the Sabres. the Caps have proven this season that they can win without Ovechkin in the lineup. I think the same thing can be said about the Penguins and Crosby. as for Sedin I think he will lose votes due to the fact that he plays in the Western Conference and the fact that the Canucks would still win without him in the lineup because Luongo can shut any team down.
