Is it the team with the worst record from this (2009) season?

The reason I ask is, the Diamondbacks are among the worst 3 teams in all of baseball right now

Correct. Most likely it'll be the Nats.

And then they'll have potentially the best battery ever.

Thanks!

Maybe if the Diamondbacks or Orioles can suck a little more, they can prevent the Nats from having the two most hyped prospects in all baseball. haha, that is a very scary thought.

Except there is no way Harper stays as a catcher.

Last I checked, there were 4 other teams that "SUCK" bigger then the O's.
Sorry, your D-Backs are going to have to make that run on their own bud.

Doesn't the first pick get alternated between leagues each year? So next year the worst AL team will get the first pick regardless of how bad any NL team finishes? Not sure, just thought I read this a couple years ago.

We (Dbacks) had a solid draft this year.

******* and Borchering are good picks and could be solid for us in a few years.

I think we'll end up 3rd or 4th in the draft.

Nope, they did away with that. This is how the Rays got David Price and Tim Beckham in back to back years.

I still think Posey would have made more sense.

yup, not to mention some nice post-1st rounders like Matt Davidson who was the Aflac HR Derby champ, David Nick was also a member of the Aflac All-American Team. I personally really like the Dbacks 13th rounder though: Patrick Schuster who pitched 4 no-hitters in a row :D :geek:

Hate to burst your bubble, but it's highly unlikely he'll sign.

:( ::facepalm:: Do you think that is why he was drafted so late?

I'm on the side of the D-Backs now, so that would be nice to see them #1. Huge AJ fan, and my best man lives there.
