My baby girl and me:

I'm 6'1", and she's 4'11". She's my world.

I used to eat a lot of sammiches. I was around 245 lbs at one point. I hover between 170 and 175, now. Would show a pic I took for my GF of my upper body, but I don't think the majority of you would enjoy seeing my "progress".

Yea Russ, I can't ever sit still and not be active. Heck, it's hard for me to take a day or two off to rest my body. I constantly feel like I have to do something, lol.

I am happily with my GF for almost 5 years now and I wonder how she puts up with me. MMA all year around, traveling for Skiing in the winter, and Baseball all summer/fall. Not to mention, I also run my summer baseball team.

Hopefully, within the next year, I will be fighting my first bout...either Muay Thai or MMA. I would rather do MMA because of the ability to take it to the ground. Muay Thai isn't exactly my strong suit because of my size (5' 8, 175lbs.)

What kind of training do you do for mma?Do you do actual fighting on lower stage cards?

I was just wondering, because i know the rush you get when training like that.I got about 4-5more weeks before i can start kickboxing again.

Right now, my training consists of...

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 2-3x week
Muay Thai 2x week
MMA Sparring 1x week

I haven't fought yet, but I plan to come the fall. Right now the focus has been working my technique and learning, while getting two of my friends ready for their fights in AC on March 7th.

Man, that all sounds so painful to me right now. No matter what man, never stop training, if you ever get injured....or just let yourself go, it's pretty darn hard to get back to where you were...and hurts a lot more, especially when you hit the mid 30's. :)
I'm sure you probably know this, but I'd hate to see someone else go through it. :P

NEC gets my vote for FCB'er most likely to be able to kick your butt.

Then I'm the most likely to get my butt kicked. Due to a serious head injury when I was 7, I am very susceptible to concussions. I once got knocked out in church when I bumped heads with the guy behind me. 2 hours later I was in the hospital with no memory of the previous 2 hours.

One shot to my jaw and I'm out. I'm like a Rock'em Sock'em Robot.

Ditto. I have no reason for it (other than intense migraine headaches 4-5 times a month), but just the thought of bumping my head makes me want to pass out.
