Add Adam Jones, Zimmerman, Tulowitzki, and that's pretty much the list. In a year or so you will probably be able to add McCutchen, Wieters, Beckham, Sandoval, Andrus.
you should also add pablo "panda" sandoval![/quote:1qjnsoqx]

Did you read the whole thing? :)[/quote:1qjnsoqx]
Oops, i saw mccuthcen and i thought people who were just called up and didn't both lol. Sandoval has way more at bats then them :P

At 26: Miguel Cabrera. No brainer. One of the most underrated hitters in baseball.

Under 26: Justin Upton. Another no brainer.

20-21: If you believe his age, Elvis Andrus.

Honestly, some of the names getting mentioned in this thread are a total joke. Andrus, Beckham, and others are good players, but they are not 1/10th the players that Joe Mauer, Miguel Cabrera, and Hanley Ramirez are. A name I would throw out above Andrus, Beckham, and a few others that I have seen in this thread who has not been mentioned is Jacoby Ellsbury.

beckham was a joke... but i'll take beckham over ellsbury[/quote:2kitexnu]

You might just be the only one..[/quote:2kitexnu]
No shot. If you could sign either of those for a big contract, you'd take Ellsbury over Beckham? I think you just may be one of the only ones.

Absolutely without a doubt. The only phase of the game where Beckham is superior to Ellsbury is power, and Ellsbury has steadily developed decent power.

Gordon Beckham 12 errors. Jacoby Ellsbury 2 errors. Just thought i would throw that out there, they play two different positions but still 12 errors?

People that do not get to watch the Red Sox every day do not understand how good of a player Jacoby is. While I am not the biggest Sox homer (there are many players I cannot stand and think are immensely overrated), Ellsbury is vastly underrated. He is in the top 2 defensive CFers and baserunners in the entire league. He has also developed better power as of late, and he is getting on base at a .350 clip (compared to .320 earlier in the year). I truly believe he will be the best CF in baseball in a few years.

While on the other end of the spectrum: People who do get to watch the Red Sox everyday, obviously are a bit biased....Just putting that out there since I watch neither color Sox on any given day (& I couldn't tell you who I'd pick because they are 2 different kinds of player's...the saying that comes to mind is: "Apple's to Orange's")! :D

At his position this season I would rank Brendan Ryan`s defense this season right at the top rivaling anyone else at shortstop. He has surprised the heck out of everyone. It has really been ridiculous seeing how well he has played. I never expected it from him. You guys might think I am crazy, but other Cardinals fans who watch him regularly know what I am talking about. I know he is 27 now, and in my original post I was speaking defensively only.

Easy Q: Albert Pujols

Besides the best hitter of all-time that plays more than adequate defense, the only two in contention are Hanley and Mauer.

I'll take Mauer. He's a better pure hitter and better defensively.
