I really thought Drew found his stride last year and this would be his break out season....it is still early in the season but he is sucking wind at the moment.

I think Ortiz might be done (for good) or injured....he has lost his mojo. It is time for him to hit a "slump buster"....and hit her hard.

i think the red sox really needed a big year more than the other teams needed big years out of the other players.

Stephen Drew's THREE errors last night won't help his slumping bat, either.

Gotta vote for David Ortiz here, though. One HR when the Red Sox are 1/4 through their schedule isn't going to cut it. Look for them to pick up a bat at the trading deadline. Good think Jason Bay is hitting so well, or there would be a lot more pressure on Big Papi in Boston.

Now I'm not going to call this a disaster, and I love this guy, but Magglio Ordonez is off to a terrible start by his standards:

.256 BA, 2 HR, 5 2B, -that's only 7 extra base hits, and 22 SO's which he doesn't do a whole lot of.

I'm sure he'll warm up (I think) but not a typical Maggs start.

Starting the year like this makes me wish he wasnt on this card and it was just a dual with the top two (card is much cleaner than scan by the way)

Stephen Drew has been hurt most of the year.
How about BJ Upton and Alexi Ramirez.

Big P. That's the face of the francise sucking there. I think it's a lot harder to ignore. At least with the other guys mentioned, there are people of equal or greater fame/talent. In Ortiz's case, it's a pretty glaring problem, which only serves to make it worse for Ortiz I'm sure.

How about Chris Young of the D-Backs? He's never hit for a high BA, but under .170 and looks like he has no business being in the major leagues.

they should sign bonds. :)

He thinks Boston is a racist city.

Boston is a racist city. Probably not as much any more but they have a pretty bad history of being racist.

There may be truth to this, I don't know Boston's history, but Bonds thinks his shaddow is racist because it won't talk back to him.

I think Drew will be fine, he was banged up early and hasn't really had a legit chance to be successful.
Gotta be Ortiz or Kazmir. Ortiz, for obvious reasons, and Kazmir for the fact that he literally can't throw a strike.

Kazmir, only because he can singly handedly lose every game he plays in, the rest cannot.
