Last year Tampa Bay was the big surprise.
Players- Longoria, Bruce, etc.

Who is this this years?

My "surprise" team is the Pirates, just because I think it'll be their year!
I'm also gonna go with Jordan Zimmermann, despite many people's doubt of how he will perform.

What do you think?

I honestly don't see the Pirates doing anything this year, but we'll find out. My pick is the Rangers winning their division.

ahh very nice pick there with the giants. i dont know about the bats on that team though :?

But, you can always find bats. They have an owner who will spend if they're in the hunt at the trading deadline. And, as nuts as this sounds, the owner hasn't ruled out Bond's return (yet).

They also might get a BayArea-discount on Matt Holliday, if he becomes available.

And AZ and LA seem to be the only competition in that division, since both Colorado and SD have HORRIBLE pitching.

Reds/Rangers

And for how awesome he has been, I believe Hanley Ramirez takes his game past the Albert Pujols level and wins MVP. I'm talking good enough to become a household name.

And as for an unknown, I don't see why Casey McGehee doesn't break out in place of Bill Hall; much the same way Hall did in 2006.

Jay Bruce is gonna go nuts this year. Might as well buy him a straight jacket.

I agree with Nelson Cruz.

One guy primed for a breakout this season in card prices is Iannetta.

One in stats is Hermida.
