I voted Santana but if Alex White were on the list, I would have voted for him. I didn't vote other because he is not an Indian yet. Does anyone have word on whether or not he is expect to sign? I have heard he is but is seeking top 5 money.

LaPorta and Santana should run away with this one. LaPorta should also run away from Santana, but I think people are just tired of hearing his name which somehow makes them think less of him as a prospect.

LaPorta came up and didn't have a Bruce type debut. People have moved on. It's sad ,but maybe a good time to invest.

What about WES Hodges. He isnt having the greatest season now, he did miss a month with an injury. He is an outstanding player. Also, when Laporta got traded and they were both on the same AA team, Hodges was killing.

Dont hate just because he doesnt have the best stats now.

Yep, and that's what I did.

I just don't understand it though. Lots of guys get called up and sent back down. LaPorta wasn't even bad when he was in the Majors, but he is the only instance I have ever seen where a BIG-name player gets called up, sent back down, and his card prices are cut in half.

Cards see losses when any player is sent down, but we're talking about a top 10 prospect here. Just seems strange to me.

Santana by a country mile for me. He is going to be Russell Martin with power and not the 2009 version of Martin. Might not steal as many bags as Martin but Santana has very good speed for a catcher.

Not that I doubt your scouting abilities but he doesn't have a single steal this year.

He did steal 9 last year I think, whoknows that AA team of the Indians has one guy that can steal bases. Also Santana is in the 3 spot as well though.

I still go with LaPorta as I think he'll be a special hitter, but honestly, something should be said for Hector Rondon. Very underrated.

People just keep voting LaPorta cause of their 2007 Bowman stashes. This isn't even close.

Despite his ho-hum MLB debut, he has been beasting the minors.

Who's hating on him? He's leading the poll by a healthy margin and nobody has said anything negative about him in the thread. :)[/quote:3675dff4]

See quoted above..

Not seeing the hate, hyperbole maybe.
