I like Manny Banuelos alot.

Holy crap, where's he on the list? I love that guy. Granted I would not have rated him #2 behind Montero, but he's top 5 probably.

Oh, I voted McAllister.

Oh, I voted McAllister.

There was a name of my own I wanted to add but only had room for 9.

I wonder if a guy with Banuelos' slight frame can make it in higher levels.

The Riverlands.
Jackson by a landslide and it isn't even close. Jackson has way to many tools and poise not to be the 2nd overall prospect. McAllister is a nasty pitcher and he is my number three. Zach is a potential number five starter at best. Jackson has proven all the scouts wrong because they say he does not have the power, but the man is one the ost solid minor leaguers out there right now. I compare him to a more established Melky, but with more upside

I could understand concern about how a smaller pitcher would hold up longterm, but I see no reason it would be a hinderence for him when it actually comes to playing the game. He's listed at 5'10" 155 at 18, so he'll likely settle in at around 170-180 and could grow a bit too. He's a lefty with good stuff and ability to pitch beyond his years, and he's dominating hitters older than him in Low A. Kazmir, Oswalt, Pedro Martinez are just a few guys 6' or under that have done very well.

Wow, the Yankees system absoutely sucks beyond belief if their #3 prospect is a #5 starter at best.

The Yankees don't bring up pitchers. They buy pitchers.

Current Yankees ptiching staff says otherwise. Most of the bullpen is homegrown Mo Hughes Acevas Robertson Coke Melancon. Joba/****/Pettite were the opening day starters too. Sure you buy some talent but the pitching staff is loaded with home growns.

My pick was Austin Jackson (due to his tremendous upside) but Mcallister is up there as well. I project Mcallister as a #2-3 pitcher that will throw a lot of quality innings...not quite ace material, but clearly an above average ML starter. With that said, I do not know too much about the Yankee's system, but Romine and Banuelos both look solid.

+1

After CC and AJ...the majority of the Yankees pitchers are home grown. How is that any different than other teams?

Sorry to ruin the "Yankees Buy all their Player"

Yankees have the most homegrown players on their 25-man roster then any other team in the AL, and only second to the Rockies in all of baseball.

Well color me plaid, I stand corrected.

Maybe it just seems like all of their star power is bought.
