A few stars are being activated from the DL on Friday, who makes the bigger impact on their team? Not necessarily that day, but for the year.

It'd be nice for either Chone Figgins or Cliff Lee to perform. The M's are 11-11 and you have to figure Doug Fister can't keep pitching this well the whole year.

Figgins had a nice breakout day yesterday.. he says the last few days he is finally getting comfy from the left side and is seeing things better.
if someone on the Ms needs to get hot it would be Lopez in my mind. it will happen soon too.

If negative impact counts in this poll, we have a run-away winner: Mr. Brad Lidge.

If Lidge returns to even semi-dominance, the Phillies could beat the Yankees.

haha.

A breakout day? Now I've heard it all. Are there breakout at bats, or breakout swings? He had two hits yesterday, giving him 5 in the last 10 games, which also includes 14 strikeouts in that span. Figgins hit nearly .300 last year and had 100+ walks to go with it so you figure he'll eventually turn around, but the bottom line is he is not getting on base.

true, 1 day is never really breakout, but it was big start for him.. you could tell he was finally in the zone. a triple/single/walk day isnt heroic, but progress. I just like that he can walk a bunch, its letting Ichiro be a little more agressive on the paths. but youre right, he has been very poor so far.

Kinsler...with Bourbon disappearing the Rangers are in desperate need of a catalyst at the top of their potent lineup to kick start things. As Kinsler goes, so go the Rangers.

The Phillies would be no different with or without Lidge in my opinion.
