It does come often however when I see the names of members that do consignments, I would like to see what they % they are asking.

For instance, I have 3-400 Andruw GU cards I would love to have someone list at .99 and let them run...Some guys were saying 8-12%, others 30% and still others were saying they would only use BIN's based on what they thought the cards were worth.

If anyone is willing to list these as auctions starting at .99 LMK your rates.

Fandrew, it depends on the value of the card and the quantity. Also, how the buyer wants to go -- if you want to deal with calculating what the price is after Paypal and eBay fees and work a price off of that vs. just a total price off the top. I believe 10% of the sale after fees is fair -- this is assuming that we're dealing with a decent amount -- maybe $500+ of cards, and we're not talking 50 items...considerably less. You're using my 6000 feedback 100% rating and the fact that I already have 200+ items out there at this point. And of course, I take the risk of chargebacks and things such as that.

Not trying to screw anyone, and certainly not charging my work rate, but this is a hobby, and is supposed to be fun.

The difference from your 12% to your 30% is probably based off the 12% is after fees and the 30% is before fees. As Bob stated, the estimate ending prices range has a lot to do with it. If you want them listed at .99 but they aren't going much higher than that, it's hard to do consignment in them. If you are listing at .99 but they are cards that should end in the $20 range it's completely different. But I'd say if a consign or isn't able to make at least $1 per item after fees the item isn't worth the transaction. So if you can provide more details as to the range of estimated ending value it may help.

I've done it for people in the past and usually create a simple spreadsheet to show the sale price, ebay fee, paypal fee, shipping cost, and net profit for each item. Depending on the amount of items to list and overall dollar amount things sell for the range is between 8%-15%. Seems to be pretty standard going rates for most of the folks who do.
