Anyone remeber the guy from beckett who had a TON of Mark Teixeira's '01 Jersey Rc's? There was an article in beckett. Anyways, I bet he's stoked about this. Is he on FCB?

It was insane. If I was him that collection would have been on Ebay an hour ago.

I think its clear he wont get all 500 so he should just list a few now and get some str8 cash *****.

No reason to unload the entire collection.... sell some and save most.

Why bother selling some after all of the time and effort spend on finding them all and landing them all. His goal was to go after all that popped up. And as I recall that was his only collection. I would respect him a lot if he is a true collector and didn't break up the set to make a profit, but stuck to his goals...but maybe that's just me. :|

Don't know how this would make sense. He knows that he inflated the prices of the cards himself, and realized (I hope) that there was little chance if any that he'd ever be able to recoup his expenses. If he's unloading, no reason to keep some. Might as well take advantage of the publicity which might get a few more listed, and keep going.

Why would he sell, it's the perfect time for him to buy since many will pop up now. Obviously price wasn't a concern for him. Maybe he'll be buying up the ones that pop up on ebay now?

It definitely is not as popular as his SPx with the same print run. That said, it is a sweet looking card (I remember pulling one in 2001 and wondering who he was lol.) I quickly learned.

The SPx PR is 1500, Leaf Limited and Pro/Prospect are 500. I would rank his signed rcs as follows (in terms of popularity):
1) Ultimate Collection
2) SPx
3) Leaf Rookies Stars/Donruss Fan Club/Signature Proofs
4) Leaf Limited (Sold for about $40 within the past year/year and a half)
