Comments appreciated!

Personally, I still see Kazmir/Shields the best right now as I think Kazmir truly reaches his potential this season.

Price was too raw to put on the list next to Kazmir, but I thought about it.

Thanks.

I think that because of the surgery Maine had, you should have put Pelfrey up there instead. If he pitches like he did last year(after the 1st 4 starts), him and Santana could be wicked.

I was going strictly off of the MLB.com depth charts (which I know can be off a lot). This also prevented me from using Beckett/DiceK or Kazmir/Price.

I voted for other so that I could say whoever the top 2 are for the Cubs from Zambrano, Dempster, and Harden. Two of those three were exceptional last year and the other one has been the anchor of their staff for some time now...

But if I had to pick from the list, I'd definitely say Webb and Haren, with CC and Burnett coming in second.

This may sounds wierd to some, but the Twins rotation is showing some promise. I still think Perkins is a year away from a break-out season, but my other vote goes for the 1-2 punch of Scott Baker & Kevin Slowey.

I'll bookmark the thread, and bring it up at All-Star break 2009. I've got a good feeling I could be right. I think Slowey is going to have a breakout season this year

Other: Lincecum/Anyone

I agree with this. Pretty much everyone expects another dominant season from Lincecum, so the Giants need just one other starting pitcher to step it up to have a great 1-2 combination. Is Matt Cain the guy?

Too bad the Giants can't hit. They haven't had any type of offense since Bonds left.

I voted Other as well... Zambrano/Harden and Lincecum/Cain should be included as well.
