Whoever qualifies as a Level A Type Free Agent during that off-season, same thing when A-Rod retires and Teixiera

Jeter is only 35.
He's healthy and still a great hitter, so I believe he'll play into his early 40s to reach 3,500+ hits.
So to answer your question, the player that will replace him is in junior high right now.

Jete still has good years left. He has showed no signs of slowing down this year. He is actually playing very good defense. I think the SS will come from the farm when they draft next year.

I have no clue. Some next prodigy who will get his GED and enter the draft early. He will be in the HOF before he even steps on a professional ball field to.
