Once again, the solution is simple. If you were selling widgets and your supplier was constantly selling you defective widgets or not honoring their part of the deal, would you stop selling them or continue to buy them since they are the only ones that sell them?


If you stop buying, Topps will be forced to quickly fix it or go out of business.

I'd buy stock in Universal Widget and get them free at the stockholders meeting...

I sent in my upc codes 3 days after release via priority mail, topps has contacted me thru twitter 3-4 times about this, although at times they don't respond, which is NOT good. I understand their position. It is 150 autos they did NOT have, and they have told me they are awaiting cards to be signed, which I understand. They have offered me other autos, which I said only if equal value and from 2011, which they later decided against for whatever reason. I do wish they would have sent me a partial order as of course the cards are much less valuable from a secondary market with each passing day but i did very well on the product and that is one reason i have not complained a heck of a whole lot publicly. I have tweeted about it, but we talk privately which I feel is more professional even though some of you may not see it that way, but ultimately it is between me & topps and not a VS. thing

topps has said they don't want to send me the same 10 guys 15 times which i appreciate, but perhaps other autos would be better than so many doubles & waiting so long... i am no different from the guy that bought 1 box & they should take care of us all

kevin, i do not ALWAYS make money on all products, HOWEVER i have learned over the years what to buy and what not to, my business has grown offline over the past 15 years and i have loyal customers and with large qty build very rare sets and cards that help and some offline and online collectors pay well, but generally YES i am doing very well, but again, my business

as for the guy i rubbed the wrong way on A&G i do not know you and offer a public apology... if you are the guy that hit the first one, i think i wanted to see the pic and know where it was pulled from, topps lied to us regarding that card or at least gave poor info, so back to kevin who says i don't complain loudly enough, that is funny. i complained about A&G and was in beckett and on boards... but why complain to you? I talk to topps, and keep a good relationship, it does me no future good to necessarily blast them, although i have like on the topps chrome quality control, they made VERY GOOD for me and many breakers due to myself and the Pres, Mark speaking, but i did talk poorly on the product, but like GQ, they admitted their error and corrected as best they felt they could & offered wrapper redemptions

are they perfect? nope, nor am i
but their products are what my customers ask for and i do very well on them, so even though they goofed on the GQ autos, i still did well so not gonna throw a huge fit nor stop buying...topps would not be affected if just i stopped buying unless others followed suit
i enjoy their products although at times they have made poor decisions and mistakes, but who doesn't
everyone here can complain about one company or another for one reason or another
to each his own

most of this should remain private at times but when topps does not respond then at times i take issues publicly, plus many folks on twitter continue asking for GQ auto updates
am i happy? NO! but i also want them to resolve as quickly and as best they can, so i am somewhat trusting they are trying to get a wider variety of autos and making sure not all same common guys...BUT WE WILL ALL SEE when i get the package


anyhow, probably said too much and may not have should have said anything
honestly have too much going on to worry about it all the time

i appreciate the support and those who contribute to the hobby or business
i learned long ago, that i could not afford to keep it all but loved opening, and started selling at local auctions and later ebay in 1996, and it keeps going
like playing cards for some is a hobby but still involves money, i mean who doesn't want to make some $....feels good
my wife and I agreed that we would do this as long as we broke even
and for many years we barely broke even, but eliminated high end, UD products (for most part), other sports (for most part), and stuck to what we knew and sold best, plus developed a marketing and offline strategy almost accidentally and thankfully it has taken off especially the past 5-6 years and we moved from 10-20 cases to 25-60 cases

and while we may be wrapping up soon due to family and other work, we love it and will never get completely out, at least i don't see how or why at this time
