Since Gonzalez became a full time player in the Majors in 2006 and from 2006-present for Teixeira:

A-Gone- 464 Runs, 856 Hits, 176 Doubles, 8 Triples, 161 Homeruns, 501 RBI’s, .284 AVG, .368 OBP, .507 SLG, .875 OPS
Teixeira- 503 Runs, 837 Hits, 198 Doubles, 6 Triples, 168 Homeruns, 566 RBI, .286 AVG, .377 OBP, .536 SLG, .913 OPS

I have to admit, with it being this close, considering the teams Teixeira has played on putting up those numbers and in the stadiums he has done it in, Gonzalez would have better numbers if he played elsewhere.

Like you said a year ago changing parks doesn't always seem to correlate like it appears it would. However, I have to think anywhere is better than SD for a hitter. The funny thing is the opposite usually is true. If you are playing in a hitters park numbers do tend to decrease if you move away.
