Once again this proves that Topps DOES NOT and WILL NEVER care about their customers!!!

I think this more or less proves they don't know what they are doing. This wasn't some release that no matter what, somebody would be upset. This was a slam dunk and they flubbed big time.

Perhaps we could start a petition for 2014 Topps Low Tek - made the way the Tek community wants it done. Then Topps can realize how dumb they are when it sells out within days.

I might be looking at this a different way. How many packs of cards do you open, from high end to low end, where you're confident you'll have a buyer for each and every one of those cards? When I take a step back, this seems like a great high end product where everybody gets what they want, albeit, player/set collectors will get them on the secondary market.

If I'm looking for a specific player/pattern in '98 Tek, spending $100-150 on a box will barely yield me any of my wants. So I'd still end up looking on the secondary market to fill almost all of my wants. In this case, high end buyers will get a nice hit (presumably) to keep or sell, a parallel card, and 6 cards player/set collectors want.

I'm not a big fan of single pack high end products, but if any of them make sense, I think it would have to be this one.

This post makes a lot of sense after thinking about it a few minutes. This might be a good product to get in on group breaks as well if you can get your team/player you collect. I am curious to see the checklist now so I can see if I want anyone in the set.

Surprised they made it into a high-end product, but definitely looking forward to more on-card Rivera autographs. Has been a few years, last ones were from 2010 Sterling.

If the checklist includes a Brewer not named Weeks or Braun I'm sure I'll be in full hunt mode

Dear Mansgame ,
Thank you for your recent request to Baseball Gods . All of our current Baseball Gods representatives are currently away, or are no longer working in the industry. Janitors, maids and garbage collectors are the only baseball card appointed employees still sequestered to work at our baseball card manufacturing plant(s). Please direct all of your questions to either of the businesses across the street:
7-11 / Kentucky Fried Chicken
Two Whitehall Street
New York, New York
, United States
Thanks again for contacting Baseball Gods .

This made me laugh so hard...

Dear Baseball Card Gods,

Please replace Albert Belle with Andre Dawson in this release.

Pretty Please,
@Hawk8

Then this made me laugh even harder LOL (and I would welcome the switch)

I'm doomed for sure. Belle will be in this and there will be 300 new Albert Belle cards and it'll be a complete mess on eBay. I'm seriously not happy about this release at all given how confusing it is and how they decided to take a simple concept and just spew all over it with a zillion side ideas and new twists.
