Who's the poor sap that has to hand number all those A&G mini's? Or any release for that matter?

Front desk at Topps?

Printing press person?

Call center rep overtime?

Any other guesses?

Seriously look at all the R&N China products issued throughout the years. The Boxes / Certs are all written by the same person, crazy amounts of time spent

That's 8,750 times writing xx/25.

Hadn't thought about how tedious that would be.

They probably hire a handwriting model from the Ford agency. ;)

Heck, remember when Signature Rookies and Classic had ALL of their autographs hand numbered? Could you imagine having to do that 4000-5000 times per card for a 60-90 card set?? And most of the players were guys who wouldn't see a major league game without a ticket....

My hand hurts just thinking about it!

Yeah , Classic football had the same for the NFL in the 93-95 range too. Very odd to think back that was process used on so many items.
