I didn't like King Mo fight. Yes I'm a GM fan but he did some majpr damage while on his back and King Mo did basically zero. He just laid on him and ate all those punches. It's almost like the judges don't count anything while on your back.

That's just horrible. Once again, awful job by Strikeforce. Commentating sucks, production sucks.

Their broadcasting team is by far the worse in sporting history. That doucher with the glasses is horrid.

GM was the champion and he got beat fair and square tonight,he wasn't aggressive and tried 1-2 subs the whole fight???GM looked wined from the 2nd round and looked like he didn't want to be there to me.

I agree with that but my main point is how rounds are scored. King Mo took him down at will but GM was far more aggressive on the ground. King Mo rarely did anything while he was on top. It begs the question just how much are take downs worth? They were both winded also.
Another thing to think about is GM's corner. Wasn't this his first fight without Fedor's camp and M1 people? I wonder how big of an impact that had.

Im really not even talking about the fighters. I mean they have some guys who have some skills. This event turned out to be pretty boring. I cant stand the announcers. Shamrock just kept on going on and on about how he didnt like Shields. There camera angles suckes. The whole production just sucked. I wonder what it was like in person. I almost went to this event.

The Fedor/Rogers event was great live. There really wasn't anything at all to complain about. I know people bitch all the time about Strikeforce's production value, but live it was fine and dandy.

Do you watch any other sports at all? He is probably the heir to Jim Nance's CBS NCAA throne. Gus is the best in the business for close games, but when he is reduced to calling maybe the worst play by play sport on earth he has his hands tied. Not really many ways to call one guy laying on top of the other, or one guy shooting and laying on his back.

Bas, Frank, Rogan, The Fight Professor, even Frank Mir, Florian, Pulver, they all do outstanding jobs at calling fight........most of the time........so you can't blame the sport for bad commentating. The person doing the commentating has to actually know what they are watching for it to be informative and easy to listen to.

Neither was I. I think the whole organization is a joke. It's run by snake-in-the grass used car salesmen. I can't wait for this whole Shields thing to blow up in their face.

No. The fights that he had to call were so dull and boring that there isn't anything to say. The Cardinals vs Mets 20 inning game had more excitement in the first 18 innings (scoreless) than the whole Strikeforce event. CBS needs a face for the event and Gus fits the bill. He is a host not an analyst (like the ones you mentioned).
