For those hating on Tim Lincecum, you need to realize that his dealer was shot in a drive-by so he was forced to switch dealers before the season started. He was never the same after that. RIP Tim Lincecum's dealer and Tim Lincecum's career. :(

Justin Upton anyone?

Thought he took that step forward to super stardom last year. But this year was very disappointing....

I hate having to agree. It'll be nice, for now, from a buying perspective if he recovers next year though

Everyone has covered the big ones thus far, I'll add a minor pleasant surprise for me.

Giancarlo Stanton

Some may say, well he was expected to be good, or was he even that good this year?

Everyone knew he had power, but did you know he actually led the league in Slugging? #1. really he did, look it up :) (.608)

Well, he had power, but he strikes out a ton. Wait, He hit .290? Really, he did, look it up. Oh and .361 OBP.

That's an UNREAL season for a 22 year old. Not to mention tons of defensive web gems, (2nd in range factor) and a hose for an arm. Teams dont even consider running on him anymore.

If Trout is the complete package, then Stanton is the supersize package.

Derek Jeter. If I was expecting another 200 hit season from someone who was coming off something of an off year and finished the season with the Yankees, it would not have been Jeter. Along that line of thought, I was really expecting more of Ichiro, though he definitely returned to form after the trade. I hope the Yankees keep him for 2013.

I was definitely surprised to see Tim Lincecum playing the role of Barry Zito, only showing his former brilliance about every 4th or 5th start.
