you have to remember when these cards came out there was no crazy inernet market. Ebay was in their early stages. Great appeal, great theme. limited quanity. I have still yet to try to complete a mcgwire. Someday maybe.

Well seeing that Steve was the guy who sold most/all of the proto's a few years back, I didn't think it was a stock image. He didn't use stock images for his eBay auctions like Burbank does.

Whoa now, I'm not starting an argument. Based on what gracecollector posted about the prototypes and the information I'm getting from this guy, including images, I'm gathering that the may be 1/1s. If Steve had the CTA prototype also, then so be it.

Very true, I missed the part where you said Steve sold it. I do know that when I bought my purple Clark on Beckett from him, there was no image. So maybe he was able to scan the reds?

Earlier tonight when I found his site. Asked for scans for the site I'm working on and he obliged, then said he knew the person with the Matt Williams prototypes also and is passing the info along. I did ask about them being 1/1, haven't heard back yet.
