Why did Josh Harrison make a hot list or his cards selling for anything?

Seriously, why are people paying anything for this guys cards. He is not a everyday player and never will be. He K's at 6X his walk rate and has no real position in the field.
I watch him play every game this year and without the team being epically bad at the plate he would have been sent down already.

Really, he and Navarro are the bottom 2 guys on the bench right now. He is closer to being sent down than he is to starting every day.

Yeah but again only because Barmes is epically bad at the plate would we want Harrison to play over Barmes. Barmes still has a +7 UZR rating this year and Harrison will eventually become very negative on defense if left at SS for any great period.

I hate Barmes but SS is not Harrison's position.

Again was he a prospect at some point and people remember that and have stashes, I don't understand it.

I have always assumed there are some older Pirates collectors with deep pockets but know very little about the Pirates system as a whole. This pattern of scrub Pirate prices spiking after 2-3 decent games (not extended stretches of good play that would actually explain price spikes). The same thing happened last year with Chase D'Arnaud's cards.

Harrison is the type of guy I don't mind having as the last guy on an NL bench - he has some speed, can take up space at a bunch of positions in a double switch, and isn't the worst pinch hitter in the world. But if he's picking up significant ab's it really speaks volumes about both the quality of the current ML roster and the organization's depth in the upper minors.

worst throw ever.

Not to worry Jordy Mercer, an actual real SS prospect is up now and hopefully we have seen the last of Jhay at SS and Barmes is now a back up
