Why hasn't Jesus Montero been promoted to AA?

He isn't playing catcher anymore down there, Austin Romine has been. Romine is really the better catcher. Montero is DH'ing almost every night. If he is just going to bat and catch 2-3 games a week he should be in Trenton by now or Romine should be in Trenton so that would allow one or the other to catch daily.

Didn't even realize he was playing at 11am today. Montero already doubled in 1 AB.

He is a BEAST!!!!

Whats the rush? He's a teenager, let him stay consistent on one place for the season.

JD- Montero will be down there soon enough. The kid is a monster and if Jose Gil or Kyle Anson get hurt, Montero will be the next one to proceed forward. If Montero is not with Trenton after the all star break, I don't know what to tell you lol. The Thunder could surely use his bat because the only hittters they have are Jorge Vasquez, Chris Malec, and Colin Curtis.

Maybe with his defense but, his bat is as good as any hitter in the minors. Does defense really matter in prospecting?

Funny there is nothing but man love for players on these boards. JD play on player.

I really think Montero should at least play first and def catch a few games a week. Having no position can absolutely hurt a prospect. Reaching the bigs is alot easier if you can field a position.
