8 Shutout innings 1 Hit and 11K's last night

Double A totals are now: 4-0, 0.34ERA, 6BB, 32K in 26IP.

I'm all for not rushing a guy, but come on.

In today's ESPN chat, Callis predicted a Sept. callup for him.

I wonder if September will change to August if he keeps at this rate.

Well Bowie is a lot closer to Baltimore then Norfolk. Maybe the O's are keeping a close eye on him. Bowie is about 35 mins from the Stadium and Norfolk is 4 hours.

His stuff looks to be going bonkers in the last couple days. An in his own words /20 auto went for $75 which is the highest I've seen one of those go of any player. Guess I shouldn't have sold my Matusz/Melville /2. :(

Matuz will hopefully be the first real test for razor metal if he performs well.

If the cards have a big spike, then we will know something.

If they have meager gains, then we will know something else.

Liz isn't Matusz

perhaps Liz would have sucked no matter what his career path was?

I never said he was..simply stating one the last pitcher to jump from AA to the pro's in the O's system.

Liz also tore through AA w/ a 11-4 record 161 k in 137 innings pitched.

An awful looking copy of his USA on card just went for $26. The auto looked like crap, like half faded or something. Maybe just a bad scan.

No need to rush him. Wouldn't surprise me if he's AA the rest of the year.

The O's have said that Matusz will not see the Majors this year... And after Wieters year in AA last year they stuck to their guns with him too. My guess is he stays in AA the rest of the year, doubt he will ever see AAA.

Meh. Anything is possible if he has a lower ERA in his next start. How can it get much lower.
