Why do the dodgers continue to bat Kemp 7th in the lineup. He is a nice bat an is seems they limit some of his plate appearances by doing this... I think he should be batting 1 or 2..him seeing more fastballs could mean crazy things

it's not just the OBP, he also needs to cut down on the K rate in order to move to 1 or 2 in their current lineup. it's more about the players they have I think.

but he should be higher than 7 for pete's sake.

I honestly think Torre is trying to keep as much change, because of the loss of Manny, away. Thus leaving the order alone for the most part(inserting Pierre and moving 1-2 guys around)

Torre had Kemp batting 4th for a couple games but reverted back to 7th in the lineup. The thing with Kemp is he is very streaky. If he can get that figured out, I think he could become a 5 hitter easily. Personally I'd love to see him in the 3 spot, but that couldn't happen until Manny comes back.

His OBP is better than 14 current leadoff hitters... so how should that matter

By the way, I think Kemp might be one of the most loved Dodger players outside of Manny. Everyone who is a Dodger fan love's Kemp and think he is the next big thing, has to be a tough load to carry for him.

MAN HOW CAN YOU THINK KEMP IS GOING TO BAT IN FRONT OF OUR POWER HOUSE HITTER....JUAN " I HAVE NO ARM FROM RIGHT FIELD" PIERRE :?

BUT ON A SERIOUS NOTE...KEMP NEEDS TO COUNT DOWN ON THE K'S AND WE SHALL BE GOOD FOR A LONG TIME TO COME :)
