I think what really sucks is that Topps keeps using the same tired ass photograph.

With all due respect, if you think this hobby is a joke you might want to move on.

You actually like "choices", when it comes to the same picture spread out of year and years before it is actually a true RC???

I'm glad I didn't spend a dime on Logan...I'll wait until his watered down True RC comes out in a redemption format. Man the RC is awesome!

The hobby is a joke.

I have 11 current auctions on ebay:

8 Wyatt Earp cards
1 Doc Holliday card
1 Jesse James card
1 patch card of a great player.

I'm selling more Tulo's than I've obtained for the first time in a very long time.

Thank God my Buddy had a BGS 9.5 Bowman Sterling Black Ref Tulo /25 he was willing to trade.

I managed a shop for 5.5 years, I love baseball, I love baseball cards...and this hobby leaves much to be desired.

I hate it if I'm being dramatic...but maybe 2000poundHockeyPlayer has it right....make my own hobby...clearly the MLBPA and the others can't do it correctly...

Buy what you like. I hate a lot of the stuff that comes out, but I just don't buy it or pay it any mind.

Obviously, the market is there, as the 2nd & 3rd auto cards that everyone ******* about, sell much better than the true first years.

I'll shorten it...

What if the RC still existed?

Wait, what exactly is the problem here? I see two auctions. One for a first year card, and one for a second year auto. I want the auto (if he turns out to be an MLB star).

blame the "autograph", even more so, the ******' sticker auto

i am in the extreme minority that would prefer the total elimination of autographs on baseball cards

The RC logo is good for everyone. Everyone profits. There is no downside.

The down side is the unfair advantage given to topps that allows only them to produce prospect cards. This leaves us with pretty much 2 product lines for prospect cards.

If topps is not challenged, they do not make the best product they can. Take away that prospects clause from topps, or let upper deck do it too. That will greatly help the world of prospect cards.

Though the current form doesn't bother me in the slightest, I would be all for a move similar to what the NHLPA did. A player cannot appear on a card until they play an NHL game. Simple as that.
