I sold a lot on ebay and sent the buyer a invoice and he paid right away and minutes later i got this message from him and got another one this morning.

Hi. Thanks for the invoice. Please note: your invoice did not include your name and address as per Ebay’s desire to have all payments be made via PayPal. Please forward me your FULL NAME & COMPLETE ADDRESS. Thanks. Phil.

I don't know if it gives them your address does it, when they pay you. But you get theirs of course. Tell him he will get it on
the bubble mailer when he gets his card

yeah I received same from same--is in a serious buying curve for the month it appears---doesn't leave feedback either :D Guess it is to match the inflow of purchases was the claim to me. Paypal tracks all that no?

Tell him to match the tracking number on his purchase history page with the one on the package when he gets it. Isn't that hard.

I believe the p.o. requires a address on the mailer.

OK.... Give him a fake address... and put another fake address on the mailer.

I've had a guy ask me to write the item number on the bubble mailer each time he's bought from me for some reason. I don't like the idea but have never had a problem with any of the transactions.

This doesn't sound any worse than people that insist you write the item # on the outside of the package (I never used to, but now EBay allows me to print that on the label automatically, problem solved). If it was a high value item, I'd probably comply with this type of request. If it was a $2 card, I would ignore it, and if the buyer presses the issue, I would comply then block him.

Is it a big deal? Not really. Is it pointless and annoying? Yes.
