Why would an NBA team have a rule of NO headbands?

The Miami Heat have a rule that their players are not aloud to wear headbands, why would this be?

Yeah, i thought it could be that, but doesn't make much sense to me. Its a freakin sweatband :lol: I guess the Heat told Jermaine O'Neal he couldn't wear his trademark headband due to team rules. He tried it out for awhile and said he felt "naked" and wasn't used to the sweat pouring down into his eyes. He ******* to Pat Riley and they broke the rule now for him.
