This is why listing with a high BIN can be advantageous.

Card is worth nowhere near this much, yet someone doesn't know the market and is willing to overpay for it.

Yeah high BIN with Best Offer is the best ebay strategy...I wish I did it with the Diesel sunglasses I had listed tonite..I paid $170 for them 2 years ago, and tonite they sold for $13.50 lol HORRIBLE

I don't think many peeople do anymore. I just checked my watch list and there are 87 BIN/BO, and only 6 auctions.

I've found recently that many people seem willing to overbid to be able to bid. I moved primarily to BIN/BO the last couple of years, but still consider auctioning at times (had one end last night for more than I would have likely set my BIN at.)

Maybe I'm over-reacting, but it seems the hobby is going back to the "mall shop" model where everything is overpriced and the store gets by on impulse spending and selling to novices :?

Everything is cyclical I guess.

What makes that card total crap? It's a beautiful, very limited on-card autograph. Just yesterday you pointed out that the ugly as hell, Sterling sticker autos were sky high as well.

Depends on how you define "garbage." If you are basing it on the public perception of the market today then maybe. Taking the card objectively it certainly is rare, the auto is on-card, and many (myself included) think it looks decent.

Just cause YOU think it's "garbage" doesn't make it "garbage." The cards in your sig are "garbage"...because i said it, does it mean I'm right and mean no one should want them, because frankly, my opinion means more than yours?

I'm sure enough of Razor's cards have sold, to where not "EVERYBODY" thinks they're garbage. Hell, the company is still in business, which means not "EVERYBODY" thinks it's garbage.

It's amazing how worked up people get about what others spend, but then again, I suppose it's always been this way on these boards.

I think we need to start a permanent thread on these boards:

"Is it okay for me to purchase this card, for this amount of money?"

I mean, I don't want to be bashed later for something I purchase because the FCB Community doesn't agree with. And I sure as hell want to make sure I don't overpay, I mean someone on these boards may know the OPTIMAL price for me to pay on a card that I want.

You'd rather have a $50 card vs. a $550 Black Refractor...whatever

I like the design of the Razor over the Sterling black. As for price determining whether a card is "worthless" then that is your opinion, as I in no way see the Razor gold as worthless because I like the design and the fact it is on card auto. I love a ton of my players base cards that have little to no monetary value.
