i sure hope the players have extra skates and gloves handy, those take awhile to break in and feel comfy. This could really negatively effect their next several games.

boy does that suck. I agree with Bilko I hope they have extra equipment that is already broken in. they play Ottawa tonight so I guess we will find out pretty quick.

I guess the equipment manager and his helper flew back to Minny right after the fire to see what other equipment they had back at home.

NOOOOOOO! The Wild are the affiliates of my local ECHL team!

That's both odd and unfortunate.

according to the Wild all but 9 players lost equipment in the fire and a shipment of new equipment reached the Scottia Bank Center this morning at 9. all the equipment is NEW.

both goalies Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding will be using new equipment in practice today and the Wild recalled goalie Anton Khudobin from the Houston Aeros in case both goalies feel they can't play with the new equipment.

and of course Minny is getting their butts kicked so far, 3-0 in the 2nd. It looks like Backstrom is playing in goal. Thats gotta be really tough with all brand new equipment.
