yes. There's less chance you'll get a crap auto because the checklist is much smaller.
At the same time, I think there's less high end talent as well.

As long as Topps had some Quality Control on the product.
With a number of boxes in 2008 containing no autographs, horrible o/c cards, and a huge auto checklist, this years product is bound to be better.
The downers for the 2009 product is lack of prospects in the set, lack of FY autos, and gimmick autos inserted in the set. I bought one box of 2008 BC and was mortified with cards. I already have my hopes set higher for 2009 with 3 boxes waiting for me, and will probably bust at least that many more.

Yes, the auto checklist has too many big names for this product to completely flop in the way 2008 did.

Other guys like Grossman and Federowicz aren't too shabby either. All around it's just a lot better. 08 had like 3 good names that sold well and then there was just a huge drop-off. Not to mention, the size of the auto CL was so massive that it was tough to pull one of the big name guys. Not the case with 09.
