Jose, thanks for sharing your Clark encounter. As you know, I was heart broken when I found out that it was sold out and missed out completely. He's appearing again on 9/18. Of course, I didn't hesitate to purchase the tickets this time. I will share some pics with you guys when I get the chance.

Ron, those Mother's cookies cards are a fav of mine too. I remember buying those bags of cookies and giving all the cookies to my little Sis so that I can buy more bags just for the cards. Good times indeed!

Nolan, can't wait to see your next record-breaking card purchase.

 Let's hope nothing else comes through the pipeline that I need. Looks like clark22fan is finally getting down to the lesser stuff, which is good for me. Those 2 auctions above I already had in my collection, so I didn't mind losing out on those. I'm trying to stay focused on pre 2002 stuff that I need, which there are still plenty. Maybe I can convince Andrew to sell his Aqueous Test . . . . cough cough . . . just kidding Andrew. I haven't marked anything off my top 25 or so for a couple of months (minus the sticker Josh sold me) :(

OK, this is crazy

I picked this one up:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2005-Donruss-Gr...0484556085?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item2309941935

Didn't even bid on this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Clark-Autograph...0577535407?pt=US_Baseball&hash=item19beef49af

I guess having some bull crap grading company grade it a 10 does help . . . I'd rather have it ungraded!!

That's insane, and one dumb buyer in my opinion, why not buy it for much, much less raw and if you really want it protected send it to Beckett of PSA for a heck of a lot less. Having said that, I can give you guys a deal on a raw one, just $75 and it's all yours.

He has a great signature. I can't decide whether to hold it as PC or sell/trade.

In my opinion it's one of the better designed cards for Will's auto, so I'd keep it, but if you can get something better through trade go for it.

Hit me up for the list of other stuff. Got loads of doubles finally sorted.

PM'ed list sent Josh. I don't have any list made up for stuff 2003 and up. I just pick those up randomly, since there are so many I still need. I'm trying to clean up the 2002 and older ones for now. It's getting nearly impossible to find much I need in those years though.

I had a bunch of these as extras... will take another look. A few stick out like I probably have them. Will take a look.

I didn't even pay attention to the bid history. Surely, you're right. I thought it was just a dumb ebay'er, but even the dumbest Clark autograph collector wouldn't pay $150 for that.

I was going to post this on eBay, but thought I'd check here first in case anyone is interested, and had any oddball Rickey's that they'd like to swap for it (I know ClarkFan and Plasticman have some awesome stuff!).

Marketcom_Clark.jpg

I purchased a salesman's sample / promotional book (for the Rickey that was included) from an old Marketcom employee featuring approximately 100 sample posters from the late 1980's to early 1990's. These samples are printed on Kodak photopaper, but are not pictures taken of the full-size posters. They are actual print-outs directly from Marketcom's printers, only in a smaller size.

On the bottom right corner of the picture is a small sticker with a 4-digit item number (in this case 7592), which would allow the purchaser to select the correct poster from the salesman. This same code is also included on the back of the picture in the printer's file name.

If anyone is interested, and has any oddball/sample/promo Rickey's to swap, just send me a PM. Otherwise, I'll probably have this listed on Ebay in the next week or so.

Send me a link to your ebay auction. I'll take a look at it. I have quite a few of those mini promo posters but I might still put in a bid.

I ended up pulling the auction before it started, in case anyone here was interested. But, I've got it ready, and will probably start it again this Sunday.

I have a bunch of the Rickey promos as well, but this is slightly different. The promos I think you are thinking of are basically tiny versions of the poster that were for use on the poster display for the poster, and printed on a poster type stock. This is a promo from the salesman, and is printed on photo paper. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
