I'm tired of my Sharks being a great regular season team but then lacking the intestinal fortitude to get it done when it counts. Does the Heatley trade finally put them over the top? They have had the best team on paper for 2 years now.

i dont know about that, its pretty hard to determine what team is the best on paper because really you can't. As far as Dany Heatley goes, im a big fan of his as he is from my hometown, he has been a dominant regular season performer, probably top 6-7 the last 4 years, but has not really done much in the playoffs at this point in his career (Like most players on the Sharks). He has only made the playoffs 3 out the 8 years he has been in the league, missing the playoffs 4 times in Atlanta and then last year with Ottawa. He did have a dominant run in 06/07 Playoffs, putting up 22 points in 20 games, but fluttered in the finals with only 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 game win by Anaheim. It will be interesting to see what happens with Dany Heatley in San Jose this year.

Nope! Sorry, I'm a big Blake fan but I think they're doomed to be a quick out once the playoffs start.

I agree with what has already been said, no. Heately is a similar player to what they already have. He is not a "role your sleeves up and get dirty" kinda player that you need in the playoffs. But also keep in mind, that like me, everyone else that has commented cheer for another team and of course our team is going to do awesome in the regular season and the playoffs. ;)

No. The Sharks aren't the best team on paper, and they certainly aren't the best team on the ice.

It appears that the Sharks players aren't happy with the trade, which will make things even tougher.

Didn't look like that tonight. Defense still needs some work, but Thornton is having a great time with Heatley AND Seto. Seto looks like Cheechoo circa 50 goal year, and Heatley is another great shooter.
