i tested something out last night

my daily search...

500 club vintage (bvg,psa,sgc) = 3,800 results
500 club vintage (bvg,sgc) = 800 results

and thats just for the auction listings.

i love me some BVG/SGC, but i am certainly in the minority! lol

I don't think so. Their registry is huge. So much money is dumped into it by collectors, and some of them, especially ones that have ultra high end collections, live to compete and show off using it. It's a status thing. I don't know what they would do without it. Have you seen gone through the registry? Some of the collections are disgusting, especially some of the pre-war ones...$$$$$.

SGC has a registry too, but it's minute in comparison. I think the difference is that SGC people are more of a collector type that really appreciates the card. Whereas PSA people seem to just want to get to the top.

I participate in both, but I do it because I enjoy reaching goals and the registries are cool tools for me because I can watch my progress. I could care less about ranking.

As far as how many send off cards to PSA, I'd say no.
However, I have found some very nice SGC cards that I thought were nicer looking than their PSA counterparts for less money. How much I have to pay for the nicer card is what really interests me.
