Will the Rockies Sign Matzek?

Many consider him to be a bigger question mark to sign than Strasburg. He's said to be adamant on wanting "precedent setting" money (i.e. $7M).

Rocks have never been one to get too carried away on spending. I say he doesn't get signed, but it will be incredibly close one way or the other.

I say he gets signed. Rockies need to turn their team around. They had a good draft. He'd be a great start.

As did I. I wanted the Giants to draft him, then I saw his interview and was so glad that he is the Rockies problem. I dislike Horton tremendously and have a feeling that Matzek will have problems with him too, especially if he is as big of an egomaniac as it seems.
I do think he will sign at the last minute though.
