just thought i would ask. i think they will, but the media is not paying any attention to the Texas Rangers. they talk about other teams that are in 3rd or 4th place. the rangers have dominated the division and yet the only person that i remember hearing about that actually took the rangers seriously before spring training was KRUKY.

anyone else taking the rangers seriously?

They have Jason Jennings, I don't see how they could not go to the playoffs. Dude beat the Yankees yesterday!!

I hope they do. I'm seriously pissed off that the Astros let Nolan head north AGAIN!

That man is going to change the pitching culture for that entire organization.

Yes, best line-up in the AL and the pitching is actually coming around for once and that division is terrible even with the Angels at full strength.

Those are 6 of their 8 road loses all year, so obviously they're better than what you've seen, they've lost like 15 in a row in Detroit over the last few years actually.

Maybe because the Tigers have the best SP in the AL, and they are seriously cursed in Detroit the last few years kind of like the Twins in NYC.

I'll keep them 1-9 they're the best, and Hamilton sucked early in the year, I'd like to see Davis exit though, sure he hits HR's but he strikes out WAY too much to be out there, but other than that they are solid everywhere.

As a long-suffering Rangers fan, I hope so.
But as a realist, I think they'll collapse after the All-Star break like they do every year.
The Rangers' pitching just isn't strong enough to hold off the Angels.
I would love to see Texas pull off an '08 Rays-type season, led by young pitchers like Harrison and Holland.

Their lineup was the only one that scored over 900 runs last year. They have the third highest OPS+ in the American League. They also are haxx0rz.
