Yes, I sold my Gold 9.5 for $1200 back then as well.

Just because they haven't surfaced on ebay, doesn't mean they haven't been pulled yet. I agree there is a great chance they would have ended up for sale if they had been pulled. But with no guarantees they are still out there, no way I would be busting any of the product.

Exactly.

Kids who aren't old enough to understand the value of cards buy baseball card packs. People younger than 18 (the LEGAL age to open an eBay account) buy baseball card packs. Baseball card collectors buy baseball card packs.

Any of these people could own all of these cards and simply not be old enough for eBay yet or may still have decided to keep them for their own collection. Just because these haven't shown up doesn't mean they have not been pulled.

Not worth it, way too much crap in these products now (i.e. guys who haven't made it and at this point likely won't) to justify the price of the wax. Everytime I look at a break of an older Draft product the thought is "wow that would have been HUGE a few years ago," the implication being any and all hype is gone.

Depends on how the players from that year perform at the MLB level. 05 stuff still sells for ridiculous prices since a lot of the players from that year are doing very well at the MLB level.

Maybe in 06 draft, because honestly there aren't a whole lot of names that jump out at you besides Kershaw and Longoria. There is Snider, Masterson, and not much else after that.

But 2007 Chrome is a different story. Not only is the base set loaded with guys like Hanson, Murphy, Cueto, but the auto set is absolutely stacked as well with the likes of Lincecum, Joba, and Fernando Martinez.

I still don't get how 05 draft boxes are that high with the risk of SOTF. Braun is the only major base auto. The 2nd highest seller would be Zimmerman maybe? And those are only like 40 bucks. Rasmus could possibly be the 2nd highest seller if he wins the ROY.

All valid points I just think that this product would retain its current value longer than 06 draft due to the better players.
