Wilson Ramos Found Safe By Authorities

Wilson Ramos has been found alive and free from his abductors, reports Rafael Rojas Cremonesi. Venezuela's Information Minister tweeted that Ramos was found by authorities (passed on by Cremonesi), and the Ramos family has already been contacted with the good news.

So glad to hear that. i was thinking he was probably dead. 4 guys kidnap a guy you dont hear from them for almost 48 hours their intentions did not appear to be money. They would have said something quicker than they did. I wonder if we will ever know what he went through.

I wonder if the Nats pull him out of Venezuela quickly because it's too dangerous for him there. Hopefully pull Wilson back to the States and have a fortified compound built for him down there so he can go back to his home country eventually with more security.

Also makes me wonder about the other Americans/MLB/MilB players down there in the Venezuelan winter league - many of them minor leaguers but are they high profile enough to be targets?

I would think it is a lot less dangerous for the American players, because of all the security they have. The local players stay at thier homes, not 5 star resorts
