Im watching the NBC feed. CBC is too boring, plus I'd rather watch the American commercials. As someone who works in a rink, I've been interested in the ice making all week. It's been a rather cool process.

that's Mike Emrick and he is great. he is currently the Devils tv broadcaster and NBC and VS.

Even though im not a Flyers fan, you gotta kind of cheer for Mike Leighton. Like what would the odds be a few weeks back that he would be starting this game for Philly?? Must be surreal for him as well.

Thomas isn't looking good at all. I know they wanted to have the Vezina winner showcased, but Rask should really be in net.

I agree about Leighton. he was put on waivers a few weeks ago by the Canes and now he has won 4 in a row and is playing in the Winter Classic. good for him.

as for Thomas I think he has played pretty poorly all season and they should definitely have started Rask. did anyone else see his mask? it's awesome.

It's a smart time to have the game. None of the big bowls with national appeal are on yet (despite JoePa I guess) so the NHL can take the spotlight.

I wonder what the view of the game is like from the stands? Must need binoculars.
