The Yanks need...
to trade with the A's. They can swap some hitting for one of Oakland's pitchers.

They have one of the best SS's in the game!jumbojohnny said:What dont the Mets need?
Really, thats funny bc Beltran put together some of the best seasons in Mets history. He was great until he got hurt.jumbojohnny said:gr5 said:jumbojohnny said:What dont the Mets need?
LOL was thinking the excat words when I read this post.
I have a few ideas....
Players not made of glass
Pitchers that can pitch
Jose Reyes to be traded for a pitcher that can pitch
Carlos Beltran to realize that he was never worth the money he got paid
Carlos Beltran to be willing to pay some of that money back
An owner that will not let the team go bankrupt
....
The list can keep going, but with a focus on players I would start with shopping Reyes out for some ptiching staff.

He was injured the last two years. What was he supposed to do? And what does David Wright have anything to do with this conversation?jumbojohnny said:elmalo said:Beltranjumbojohnny said:gr5 said:jumbojohnny said:What dont the Mets need?

Compare with David Wright's numbers then ---

I dont see how his seasons were all that amazing. He put in some good work...but how exactly are those numbers worth
$18-20 million a year? Dont avoid the fact that while he was still getting paid he was hardly playing the last two years.
You just get a boner for Latino players.
He was playing up to his contract until he got hurt, and those were some of the best seasons in the history of the franchise.jumbojohnny said:You were the one that stated that Beltran was putting some of the "best seasons in Mets history"...nevermind the fact that his own teammate was putting up numbers that were very close to or better in most categories. So that shows that his seasons were not all that spectacular, especially at the price tag he signed for. OVERPAID - like I stated originally --- In my opinion they should all be paid weekly based on their production. Play like crap, get a crappy paycheck.
You were the one that dragged satistics into an OPINION BASED topic. I have my opinion & you dont have to like it.
Orlando Cabrera brings a lot more to his teams than just his stats. Did you ever notice that wherever he goes the team always improves?gpenko826 said:The Indians honestly need health - they need Travis Hafner to get right and back in the middle of the order. They need Sizemore and Choo to get their heads out of their rear ends and start swinging like actual major leaguers. We also need to quit jerking around with the "proven veteran" and bring up the kids. You can't tell me that Lonnie Chisenall is gonna be any worse than Jack Hannahan. Or that Jason Kipnis/Cord Phelps is any worse than Orlando Cabrera/Adam Everett. Or that Jered Head is any worse than Austin Kearns..
Trading wise, theyre not gonna move any prospects to get a rental player. The only move I'd take is to get Heath Bell away from the Padres. The stronger the bullpen is, the less strong the rotation can be for now...
Twins need that too, once Morneau, Mauer, Nishi, Span, Young, and Kubel get healthy the division stands no chancegpenko826 said:The Indians honestly need health - they need Travis Hafner to get right and back in the middle of the order.
