Wonder how often this happens

While I have sold both of these cards right after pulling them, looking through my file of big/rare cards I have pulled, I just realized I have pulled these two. Wonder what the chances of that happening are.









Granted, one is the Black printing plate and the other Magenta, but the fact that I have pulled maybe 12-15 printing plates over the years, and two are of the same superstar, is probably pretty rare considering I usually bust about 4 boxes of regular Bowman each year.

I think I forgot the first one in 2010 because, if I now recall, I was rather disappointed in what it sold for (somewhere around $15 if my memory serves me correctly). The one this year sold for over $50, so I won't forget that one for a while. It was also by far the best conditioned printing plate I had ever pulled.

I have been haunted by Cal Ripken(pulled a 1/1, an autograph /10, and another /25, and a dual patch w/ Tony Gwynn) all within a few boxes of each other. Then I turned around and pulled a David Wright plate and an auto in close proximity. Then there was the weird Travis Hafner kick where I pulled like 4 autos out of 4 consecutive boxes. Pretty weird. But I wasn't horribly displeased.

Well, Votto 1/1s I most certainly wouldn't say I have been "haunted" by, LOL! But, I WAS haunted by Anthony Hewitt autos... pulled a Razor Letterman, Razor Signature, Playoff Contenders, Donruss Elite Extra, Tristar Prospects Plus, and Bowman Chrome Draft. Worse, other than Bowman Draft, which I opened a case of, I only opened either 1 or 2 boxes of each of those other products. Yet I couldn't pull 1 Buster Posey auto out of any of those.
