So, I am supposed to get excited about WBC redemptions, that don't tell me the player, country, or any other information?

Riiiggghhhtttt....

The WBC still doesn't even know 100% who is in it, how can Topps?

Understandable. Still, to not know anything except getting a patch is a little lackluster.

It is like getting one pack in another pack, I will get my jollies on buying up these cards and find out I'm getting patches of Rich Vandenhurk who absolutely plagued me in 2007 BDP.

Which is exactly why Topps shouldn't be releasing these in this year's produect. Why not wait until next year? Then again, I'm not really sure these cards belong within the Bowman brand to begin with.

Considering that this market does not provide any hobby love for anyone playing outside of the US, and that 90% of the players will never ever set foot in a US Stadium for anything other than the WBC, I can't see there being a tremendous draw to these cards.

Yes, if your favorite player is playing for the USA or Cuba (I'm looking at you, Arod), it'd be neat to have this card...but considering 90% of the cards will be of scrubs you'll never have and never will hear of again... bleah.

I guess you never noticed the amazing prices paid for Cuban and Asian players in the WBC.

....or, the melting pot that is the USA (especially major markets) and how heritage can make people desire cards of their country's players.

....or, that maybe you just want to have the opposite opinion on everything.

I dunno, just a hunch.

Does anyone know if it is going to be a case topper, like some non-sport cards do, or be in packs falling one per case?

Everyone who bought Dice K's cards during the WBC made better profit than on probably any other rookie you could have had in 2007.

I agree. Those players who will never play in a US stadium will not show long term profit.

Except for the humongous Asian markets. Come on, Jeff.

Mystery redemption is the wrong way to distribute these cards.

Good job. Your search brought up a bunch of jersey cards.

The SPx WBC patches sold for HUGE amounts of money. You won't see too many of those on eBay, however. Why did your search include "-ichiro"--does he not count all of the sudden?

Did you not read my post, that you're so willing to criticize?

Ichiro is a MLB player. There's no doubt that Ichiro, or Dice K, or other asian players playing in the MLB will go for big money.

Understand the product first: The cards are patches, not jerseys. Sheesh.

If jerseys get a few dollars, do you expect patches to get drastically more?

If you have a jersey of So Taguchi selling for a buck, a patch isn't going to get a hell of a lot more.

My point is, the US market has not heard of 95% of these players.

Since these seem to be "box toppers" it's yet another reason that this wax product sucks

much rather have this as a box topper than the red refractor.

They will now be in packs. This is a plus plus for this product

That is a good point. I did not realize that they are going to start putting the money cards in the packs for this product
