Damn Pujols just destroyed that pitch!

I think he had too much focus on Allen Craig and forgot about the guy hitting behind him.

Lidge feels Ogando's pain

Ogando has more pain. Pujols' 433 foot homer tonight eclipsed the length of his 2005 playoff homer at Minute Maid Park against Lidge.

Pujols' 16th career postseason homer tonight in his 70th postseason game. Only 2 homers in his 2011 postseason stint.

i think ogando got too confident after the ump gave him a pitch that was 8 inches outside. thought he could get ahead and then make him fetch that ouside pitch. it was just a mistake and albert doesnt let many of those whiz by.

Possibly since Craig is hot but you cant afford to throw a pitch like that to the best hitter in the game and not expect him to take advantage of that mistake.

apparently it's being reported now as 423 feet, but still further than his 2005 homer.

yep, that's what you get in a slugfest with a lot of ineffective relievers so you get many pitching changes.

i'm used to it due to the slugfests at the local minor league park here.

Albert is showing why he is arguably the greatest right handed hitter in baseball history.

he has to step up the level of broads he bangs to get up to Joe D's level

Between innings (or was it a pitching change--I'm not sure now) I jumped to ESPN to see the last second Hail Mary TD pass for Michigan State to beat Wisconsin. It had to be reviewed in the booth because it was so close. (not just inside two min.) Call on the field was down at the one. Place pretty much exploded after the official announced the call.

Okay, back to baseball.
