Liked him as a player, a writer and an announcer.

Bill Walton is the WORST in basketball hands down, he's such a buffoon, he'll contradict himself every game guaranteed. He would always be all over guys like Spreewell and Rodman saying they don't belong in the game and they don't contribute to their teams, etc... then by the end of the game he would be raving about how incredible they are.

Morgan sucks too but McCarver is worse.

In the last two Angels/Yankees games the announcers have been pointing out kids that wear say a Mets hat with a Yankees jersey and make fun of them, the last game it was a hat,jersey, and thundersticks of different teams. It actually gets me pretty steamed, these are kids enjoying the game of baseball, they try to ridicule them because they don't prescribe to the pervasive notion in our culture that everybody has to belong to one defined group. And on that note, let's listen to a related fantastic early alt. rock song.

I really hate how people hate on Joe Morgan. This guy is a class act.

Collinsworth, although cocky on SNF, knows his stuff.

I think sometimes people state their dislike of both just becasue other people do.

Completely wrong about Morgan, at least for me. I couldn't care any less about who people like or not. In my opinion he comes off as an arrogant ass, especially when it comes to complimenting other players. His misuse of cliches, irrelevant references, and idiotic drivel is more than I can stomach. I heard him say something along the lines that flipping the ball backhanded will forever be known as "the Jeter," as if he'd invented the technique.

He has a cousin in Columbus that I've met through a casual friend. While she doesn't see him very often, she told me he even wears out members of his family.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure who thinks he is any good to keep him around.

And old one and my he RIP was Phil Rizzuto. Anything the Yanks hit he would make it seem like it was going out of the park, so if you weren't looking or if listening on the radio he got you all worked up, for a long fly ball....lol....
