Unfortunately your opinion is justified. It looks like a lot of the teams in the West are moving forward. Angels still have a great team, Rangers have the best farm system, and the A's are developing as well. Seattle is in for some dark days. :(

If Felix and bedard are both healthy, I can't see them being the worse team

I picked the pirates

I'm a little worried about my Jays this season.

No way..While they will finish in 3rd/4th in the East, no team with Halladay, Wells, Rios, Ryan, and my man TRAVIS SNIDER will be anywhere near the worst team in baseball. Man, that was weird coming from a Sox fan

I meant to add that if they have a few injuries they could easily be in trouble

How can you put the Giants on here and not the Padres? San Diego has all the makings of one of the worst teams of all time.

The patriot in me says it's the Nationals.

Some teams can do a lot with a little, the Nationals have perfected the "a little" bit...but can't seem to do anything.

That was my vote..Can anyone actually name the Nats projected rotation without cheating?

I have to vote for the Padres, because while other teams my have worse records (Nationals especially), I tried to put myself in the position of each team's fans and decide which would be most painful.

With the Padres getting rid anybody worth anything (other than Gonzalez and Peavy....so far), after having been fairly good recently, and with the complete lack of direction or desire to improve in the front office, they win.

The Nats at least have young talent in Zimmerman, Milledge, et al. and at least tried to sign someone.

Meanwhile, the Orioles seem to finally have figured out they need to start from scratch so there is hope for the future, and the Pirates and Mariners have players like Bay, McLouth, Ichiro, and Hernandez that at least make them watchable.

I changed my vote from the Pirates to the Padres. They will lose Peavy soon, and they continue to lose talent. Also Craig remember the Sox have Bay now.

Voted for the Pirates. Not sure why the team with the Cy Young winner is on this list. Sure they don't have hitting, but their solid Pitching makes them nowhere near the worst team.

My vote has to go out to the Nats... It will be interesting to see what their 2nd year stadium will draw attendance wise with another bad year.

*facepalm*

I still think the Padres, but that reminder certainly makes it much closer.

Seattle's staring rotations is

1. Hernández, Félix (9-11)
2. Washburn, Jarrod (5-14)
3. Carlos Silva (4-15)
4. Erik Bedard (6-4)
5. Brandon Morrow (3-4)

Team lost 101 games last year

I think they can top that this year

The Nationals might end up with the worst record, but I don't think they'll be the worst team in the MLB.
