I though it might be fun to compare redemption horror stories and to see and maybe vote upon who has gotten
screwed the hardest in regards to redemptions...either expired cards or awful replacments. I will go first.

2000 something I pulled the redemption for a Joe Dimaggio autograph poster. I sent the card in and they sent me
back 5 packs of SPA baseball with a note saying they didn't have the poster because they lost them in a flood.

Of course I have seen these cut up for legendary cut products.

anyone else?

Nothing to major since I don't do anything with redemptions. But I did pull a nice Fleer Football auto that was never redeemed thanks to them going under and then on top of that I didn't get there crap replacement package either.

Winner: way better than Kevin.

When shall we vote?

Now, or over the course of years during hot and cold streaks?

I have 2 :lol: :lol: :lol:

These did happen, but don't take it too seriously. Kevin's is way worse as well as many of you guys are WAY worse.

I pulled a Chandella Powell Redemption autograph (sticker) <que a funny comment from Sam Banks> (Ring girl sticker autograph of one of the lesser ring girls).

I must have been given a giant box of commons and found an un-used redemption (sometime in 2008-2009) for a Donruss Football Rookie Set thingy from 2000. I figured I would send it in with a nice letter to see if I could get something in return. My letter was RTS'd :lol:

IVE BEEN PRETTY LUCKY, but i know a sick ripper who sent in 200 + redemptions to
fleer in 2003, and year and a half later they went under and he got nothing. he actually hired an attorney
and tried to sue them, but never really got far.

My one and only redemption was in 2001. I pulled a redemption in 2001 Fleer Premium for an "autographed" version of card #233. Card #233 turned out to be Pujols. What I got was a base card. I called Fleer and they said I was inncorrect in the fact that it was suppoed to be an autograph and since I had to send them the redemption card I could not prove them wrong. Years later I got a package in the mail from fleer. Inside was a letter stating that I had an unhonored autograph redemption from fleer and 3 cards to compunsate for it. It was a Rob Bell auto, Sebastion Telfair auto, and Mike Mussina jersey.

I pulled the same card if I remember correctly. I'm almost positive they all said autograph on accident. I do remember it was an $80 card at the time and I sold it.

Telfair was a god on the playgrounds.

I've never had a redemption that wasn't honored. I'm one of the lucky ones. Although I just redeemed two cards within the last few weeks, one with UD and one with Panini. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I've been good with redemptions, from the 1992-93 Shaq card to 2009 UD Goodwin, though I've only had a couple others in between. I do recall getting screwed by Fleer in 1992, actually. They had an offer where you could send in $7 and get an 'uncut sheet' of Rookie Sensations, which were scorching at the time.

It was right at the tail-end of college, I didn't have a checking account, so I sent them a money order. I never received the thing, and I always suspected because I sent a MO. Good thing, too, because 'uncut sheet' is not what that is, to my mind. I don't think they had a picture of it when I sent it in, if they had I obviously wouldn't have bought. Well, Fleer went bankrupt, and I'm still here. Ha!

I was listed as part of the FLEER lawsuit;
and have paperwork if anyone wants to see it, lol.

The deal was:
You had to have your redemptions in by such-&-such a date;
then you got 3 cheap gu or auto cards as replacements regardless
of who or what card your redemption was originally for.
This dude should have clearly got 600 cheap gu or auto cards,
unless he "held out" for the actual redemptions which was never gonna happen.

Last year i mailed a redemption for a "sketch card" to a company in England;
they mailed me back a facsimile autograph card ?? (worthless)

I remember some people mailing in autograph redemptions,
and just getting cards back that said "signer never signed."
One was a Gretchen Wilson (country singer).

I entered in 7 panini redemption codes last year. 4 Limited basketball auto gu inserts, evan turner prestige draft picks rights auto, dez Bryant auto patch, and Taylor hall jsy auto. I checked on them a few times and they all said pending. A month and a half went by and I hadn't thought about it but people started getting the Turner's so I go to look and my portfolio had been deleted. I called customer service and since I had thrown the actual redemption cards away, they basically said I was SOL.

Hey Aaron, not necessarily... I had a Manny Machado redemption. I redeemed it, and when I got the confirmation email I just dragged it into a personal folder without opening it. When I did open it, only the header was populated (with the redemption # )... I checked the website for my account, and none of my redemptions were there. it turns out that accounts on Donruss.com were deleted when they switched over to Panini.com, but Customer Service told me not to worry, they were in the system, and I got my Manny. Do you have any of the confirmation emails?

Also, try emailing Tracy Hackler thackler@paniniamerica.net -Russ S. was kind enough to alert me to Tracy, and it may be helpful to you too...
